Remote Desktop System Requirements for Right Networks

You can connect to Hosted QuickBooks through three different paths:

• The Web Login Page located here
• Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Client for Windows or Macintosh computers
• Java-based Client for any computer (limited functionality)

All clients connect outbound through port 3389 to asp.rightnetworks.com.

Web Login System Requirements

• Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher, broadband recommended)
• A Windows 95 or later-based computer (Windows 95, Windows 98, 98 SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser with ActiveX controls enabled
• 386 or newer Intel-compatible CPU
• At least 4MB available disk space

The client software is downloaded automatically when you login to QuickBooks through our website.

Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Client

Windows Requirements

• Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher, broadband recommended)
• A Windows 95 or later-based computer (Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8)
• 386 or newer Intel-compatible CPU
• At least 4MB available disk space

The Remote Desktop software needed to connect to Right Networks is built into Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. You can download Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection client for Windows XP here and for Windows 2000 and earlier here.

Mac OS X: Microsoft Client

• Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher, broadband recommended)
• A Mac OS X version 10.1 or newer
• PowerPC CPU
• At least 3MB available disk space

You can download Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection client for Mac OS X for newer (Intel-based) Mac's or for older (PowerPC-based) Mac's.

Java RDP Client

Various Java RDP clients are available that can connect to our service. These would typically be used by computers that are non-Windows and non-Macintosh PC's. While these provide limited functionality and we do not provide support for their configuration, such clients including properJavaRDP and rdesktop have been shown to work with our service.
